• 1 Each bike will be registered at the SOS registration table with all proper information. It is the participants responsibility to assure they have provided the registration table with the correct information including class. Refer to “class” section on the TMC website.
  • 2 In the preliminary rounds judges will allow participants up to 90 seconds with a minimum of 60 seconds. *King of the Hill 30 seconds minimum after participant advances past his/her first round.
  • 3 You must have the SOS songs downloaded on a device and/or have the ability to search the web to obtain them. The judges MAY utilize a song from the list to break a tie. For those who arrive without the songs, please have USB or Bluetooth capabilities or risk being DQ'd.
  • 4 Registration cut off times will be strictly adhered to unless exigent circumstances arise, which at that time will be at the discretion of the SOS staff. SOS reserves the rights to register participants at any given time.
  • 5 Judging will be based on a series of things but not limited to bass, treble, clarity, song selection, volume control, speaker staging, etc. Judges are listening for quality sound systems. In the case of any issues regarding judging arises will be handled by TMC.
  • 6 The motorcycle must be rideable. Meaning equipped with an engine that will allow the cycle to ride in the SOS ring under its own power.
  • 7 In the finals round, each participant will have a minimum of one minute to play song selection(s) of the PARTICIPANTS choice. Participants may be asked to transition to the selected song from the SOS Playlist for an amount of time determined by the officials. The judges will then signal each participant to stop at which time each participant will be scored for a final score to determine a winner.
  • 8 Compression horns WILL be counted as speakers due to the frequency range they are able to play i.e. Horns with waveguides and diaphragms. (See photos)" The smaller "dome" style tweeter, Beyma SQL 60, Hertz ST25,etc. will NOT be counted in the speaker count.
  • 9 Clipping will count as an immediate disqualification.
  • 10 Participants to assure the contest moves efficiently, please make sure you are with your motorcycle when called to the lanes!!
  • 11 CHEATING Rule- if any participant is caught in violation of the requirements listed for the entered class, they will be immediately disqualified from the competition. It is the right and discretion of SOS officials to conduct a reasonable inspection of the participants motorcycle which may include but not limited to saddle bag inspections.
  • 12 Tuning- During competition participants will only operate the volume on the main source I.e. Radio/ Bluetooth device/ cell phone . The use of a bass volume knob may also be used. Tuning/ adjusting of crossovers, DSP, equalizers whether onboard or Bluetooth will be prohibited.
  • 13 Technical Issues: Each participant will have (2) two minutes to address any technical issues while in the ring. If the participant is unable to fix the issue he/she will we asked to exit the competition ring. The participant may return to the ring after all other participants in that class have competed at which time they will be given the opportunity to be scored. **The participant will receive a FIVE (5) point deduction from their overall score for that round.**
  • 14 TEAM RULE: A team may allow one member to ride a motorcycle/ Slingshot into the SOS ring. At which time if the “rider” is not going to operate the sound, he/she must move away from the cycle and turn control of the audio over to the TEAM member who will be operating the audio in the competition. only one TEAM member may operate the sound. No coaching will be allowed during the competition. At the completion of said TEAM members playtime, the designated “rider” will then ride the cycle in a safe manner from the SOS ring. TEAM member(s) please let SOS officials know prior to your turn that you will be competing in a TEAM capacity to avoid any confusion in the SOS ring.
  • 15 Team Money Cycles will tech the width of a motorcycles from the rear. The measurement will be taken from the inner wall (closet to fender) to the outer saddle bag wall. If any exigent circumstances arise where this is not possible, then at the discretion of TMC organizers, a secondary location will be considered. ‼️Be advised we measured a series of saddlebags and the conclusion is that each are significantly wider at the point where the side cover and saddlebag are married. (Featherweight 9.25”, Lightweight 9.25”, Welterweight 9.25”, Middleweight 9.25”, Heavyweight 10.5”, Extreme N/A)
  • 16 TMC reserves the right to deny any participant the eligibility to compete in any SOS/TMC event at the organizations discretion. We ask that everyone conduct themselves in a mature and professional manner while in the ring and as a spectator. Our goal is to create a safe and fun atmosphere for all. Thank you.
